Take Charge of Your Health and Well-Being: It’s Your Responsibility

IPPW Roving Reporter Report

Linda DeLong – “Take Charge of Your Health and Well-Being: It’s Your Responsibility”

Linda_DeLong_070815IPPW founder and connectivity maven, Deb Hoffman Adair, created a new education series called “Healthy, Wealthy, and Wise” which kicked off in June. This is a free series that can change your life…for the better.

IPPW member Linda DeLong shared her experience with, and passion for, eating well and the benefits of nutritional supplements. This, of course, fell under the topic of “Healthy”.

I admit to not being perfect, especially in the area of eating well. Of course I try, but I truly don’t enjoy cooking for one or grocery shopping. It’s convenient to eat out, eat large portions, and enjoy desserts. I know I’m not alone in this.

Supplements sound easy – I mean, they are portioned and give your body what it needs, so it was a no-brainer to go to the seminar and learn more.

This seminar was at the beautiful and historic Amherst Library. The basement meeting room allowed for plenty of attendees and had room to spare. Linda’s presentation on how our bodies process foods (good and bad) that we put into them, was eye opening.

There’s so much to learn and to know, so much information on the Internet, that it was nice to have real information condensed in a way that wasn’t overwhelming. Linda shared a lot of information in a digestible format (see what I did there? A pun.) Learning how bad foods affect my body negatively scared me enough to know why I should avoid certain foods – like donuts! Oh, my goodness, all I remember is paste. I don’t want to eat paste!

After the thought-provoking presentation, everyone was able to taste-test from a selection of supplements Linda brought with her. I found my drink, a mix of 4 supplemental powders, quite tasty.

Linda’s passion for healthy living is apparent – visibly and through the ease in which she answers questions about the topic. If you weren’t able to attend the seminar, and you have questions about supplements and getting on track to a healthy life, feel free to get in touch with Linda. You can connect with her through her member profile (https://ippw.org/members/linda.delong/).

Oh, and Linda raffled off a sample product. IPPW member Jennifer Thompson won a bottle of one of the supplemental mixes. Congrats, Jennifer!
